AICB’s Empowering Bankers CPD Programme featured a webinar titled “Banking With Integrity: Exploring Ethical Dilemmas Through Real-World Case Studies”, which was held virtually on 25 August 2023. The session explored the source of ethics that drives the move to sustainability and discussed the answers to the fundamental questions on the meaning of ethics and how they should be applied in banking. Speaker Dr Mohd Nasir bin Mohd Ismail, Chief Scientific Officer of m5 Solutions shared a series of compelling real-world case studies that highlighted the ethical challenges faced by the banking industry, giving delegates the opportunity to examine and reflect on the crucial role of banking and finance in facilitating a just transition and its effect on individuals, societies, and nations. Over 170 banking professionals attended the programme.
