AICB and Deloitte organised the Basel III Final Reforms forum on 10 May 2023 to provide bankers with an opportunity to engage with industry leaders and gain valuable insights on the implications and implementation of the Basel III reforms. Following an overview of the Basel III Reforms, discussions explored the impact of the new Basel III requirements on bank operations in the region, compliance with the new BNM regulatory reporting requirements in the implementation process, risk management and supervision practices by banks from across the region, and future developments and impacts on the banking system and the broader economy following these regulatory changes. Over 120 banking practitioners attended the session, which was held at Bangunan AICB.
