AICB and Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) collaborated on the 2nd instalment of the Bank Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) Virtual Learning Session on 25–28 October 2021 @ 2 pm to 6 pm daily via Zoom, following a successful session last year. The RRP session was held over four half-day sittings to provide participants with detailed knowledge on the key requirements of RRP implementation, the tools and techniques used to build, review and understand recovery and resolution plans, the implications of RRP for financial institutions, and how to devise solutions to practical challenges faced in preparing RRPs. Interactive activities such as quizzes, polls, and case study analyses were used to aid the participants’ understanding. The bank RRP session was conducted by Kavita Kumar Berns, Managing Director, Financial Institutions of Enlighten Global Consulting Ltd, an expert in the area of RRP from the UK with over 20 years of experience in banking and finance. A total of 100 participants from various banks and financial institutions in management roles who are involved in bank RRP and the following functions — Compliance, Finance, Legal, Risk, Treasury and Operations —attended the session.
