AICB is proud to be a supporting partner of the CASI Sustainability Forum*, “Revamping Energy and Industry Landscapes: Financing the Accelerated Low-GHG Transition in the MENA Region”, which was held on 23–25 September 2024 at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha, West Bay Lagoon, Qatar. This hybrid event was also available virtually.

Comprising two days of workshops and a half-day site visit, this complimentary event convened policymakers, financial institutions, and corporations to discuss innovative financing solutions and effective transitions specific to industry needs.

Discussions on Day 1 delved into the most crucial topics surrounding sustainable finance in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) context, while Day 2 focused on industry-specific discussions, addressing the most pressing needs or formidable challenges in the region's low-carbon transition. On Day 3, participants embarked on a half-day excursion to leading sustainable enterprises or pilot zones in Doha.

Participants enjoyed the interactive workshops featuring keynote speeches and panel discussions, gained insight into the unique challenges of the region's low-carbon transition, and had the opportunity to network with fellow participants comprising bankers across the region. Over 200 participants attended the event.
