AICB and the Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI) organised the annual Ethical Finance ASEAN 2025 virtual summit on 19 February 2025, marking the fourth instalment of this insightful event that convened global and regional experts to explore actionable pathways toward ASEAN’s resilient and inclusive financial future for ASEAN. Themed “Driving Inclusivity and Sustainability”, the summit built on past discussions and convened close to 30 global and regional subject matter experts in the ASEAN region and beyond to discuss critical themes of inclusive economic growth, resilience and sustainability in regional finance, green innovation and climate financing, and ASEAN’s role in global economic stability. Over 2,000 delegates tuned into the virtual session. View the programme agenda here.
AICB and GEFI — alongside the MIFC Leadership Council and MBSB Bank — also brought together policymakers, development professionals, financial practitioners, and faith leaders for a pre-summit exclusive private session at Bangunan AICB on 18 February 2025. The Ethical Finance ASEAN SDG Hive pre-summit programme, held for the first time in Kuala Lumpur, explored some of the virtual summit’s key themes via a half-day physical programme.
