AICB and the Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI) — supported by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) — were pleased to once again organise the Ethical Finance ASEAN 2024 annual virtual summit, marking the third edition of Ethical Finance ASEAN this year. Across two 90-minute sessions, over 30 global experts on sustainable and responsible finance in the ASEAN region and beyond evaluated the current position and urgent need for scaling up sustainable finance in the ASEAN region, through a series of panels, firesides, presentations and keynotes. Discussions focused on financing the energy transition, greening finance and developing SME resilience, nature finance, and efforts to move the Islamic finance industry from Halal to Tayyib.
